AFIC in Geological Hazard Monitoring of Songpan County

Songpan County, Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Ngawa, Sichuan Province, is located in the western high mountain valley area, with high mountains and steep slopes, steep terrain and complex strata. It is a geological disaster prone and high-risk area. Songpan County has conducted a comprehensive investigation of the whole county and found 469 potential geological hazard points, posing a serious potential threat to the lives and property of nearly 20,000 people in 25 towns of the county.

 

In order to further standardize the automatic real-time monitoring of geological hazard in Songpan, and continuously improve the scientific and technological level of group monitoring and prevention, the automatic real-time monitoring system of geological hazard in Songpan County was launched, which started  the work of geological hazard monitoring and early-warning in Songpan County.

In this case, we need to monitor the slope stability around the Songpan Couty. And we adopt the automatic real-time monitoring system which includes rainfall monitoring station, wireless audible and visual alarm, GNSS monitoring station, flexible inclinometer system, etc.

 

Monitoring Device: Huasi Array Flexible Inclinometer

The Huasi array flexible inclinometer supports 4G full network connection, serial port and other communication modes. After the installation is completed, the monitoring data can be collected and transmitted online in real time with a maximum frequency of 1 time per minute. The user can analyze and download the data in real time through the monitoring cloud platform. System can send alarm message to user via email or cellphone once the monitoring data exceed the preset threshold value. This direct alarm or warning monitoring method is significance to prevent sudden geological hazards.
